Dear Community Members,

I am delighted to announce that Rachel Rubinstein has agreed to join us to lead the High Holiday Services at The Hunter Synagogue. She is very excited to work with us, and we are thrilled to have her on board.

Rachel is currently a rabbinical student at Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts. She is a talented musician and vocalist who incorporates music into her services in a meaningful and engaging way. During her time as a student, she has worked primarily in cantorial roles throughout the greater Boston area.

Growing up, Rachel was an active member of NFTY, serving as a regional song leader and board member. She moved to the Boston area in the fall of 2015 to attend Brandeis University, where she majored in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. Through her academic studies and her time at Hebrew College, she has been exposed to a wide variety of Jewish customs and religious practices.

Rachel will lead services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur this year. She will also join us for our summer Shabbat Services on
6/26, 7/17 & 8/21.

Let’s collectively send her a warm welcome in to our community.

Best regards,

Lauren Kashman
President, The Hunter Synagogue
